Nationwide Eclipse Ballooning Project

I participated in the Nationwide Eclipse Ballooning Project  (NEBP) where the goal was to live stream the shadow of the moon moving across the earth's surface during the total eclipse in April 2024.  The UMaine team focused mainly on the video streaming aspect of the project, where we refined and upgraded the original video system sent to us by the Montana team. We were able to upgrade the on board computer from a raspberry pi 4 to a raspberry pi 5, which eliminated our dependency on discontinued products. I also personally worked on improving the software for our ground station. I was able to make it more user friendly, and embed the live video, eliminating the need for a separate application.
